Ok, I didn't actually take this photo, but I did take other photos of the wall today, I just liked this one most out of all of them. I hate being in photos, I don't have the face for that side of the camera, but here I am, working on my section of wall, levelling it off ready for coping stones. I have to say, we built a section of wall from scratch further along which you can't see here, but this stretch I'm on is a poorly constructed wall that we just part dismantled and then carried on with for a bit of extra practise - all that shoddy work lower down was nothing to do with me!
@dizzyd@judithg@jantan Thanks all... I've just realised in the shower that I made a rookie mistake! I was so busy walling, I didn't notice how warm and strong the sun was - my arms are red from the top of the glove to the bottom of my sleeve - whoops!
You look as if you`re having a great time. These walls are wonders, i think, staying together with no mortar. There are some in the Niagara Peninsula (Ontario) where I grew up, which were built by British soldiers with time on their hands, posted there for the War of 1812.
Hi Louise! I have missed blogging but it took up so much of my time and I remember you saying about 365 and here I am! Nice to hear from you. I will be following you too!
It's always good to put a face to the person, although I hate my photo being taken too! You certainly look like you are working hard. These Walls are always amazing to see.
