Yes... 30 Days Wild has become 365 Days Wild - a whole year of wild adventures :)
More info about that on today's blog :)
It's been so, so hot here today and I don't cope well with heat so I spent some time this evening standing in a river! A lovely way to cool down. More photos on the blog
You are welcome to use the tags I've used here - and mentioned in the recent thread - and you don't have to commit to daily wild photos - just tag your wild moments as and when :)
Glad you got your wild adventure in the river yesterday. So refreshing to paddle in natural water. Great detail in this photo. Looking forward to the next 11 months of wild posting.
Love the wet stones and the nicely placed leaf here, fav. I would love to participate in the 365 Days Wild, but I'd like to know what the definition of "wild" is for this. Is it just anything from the natural world? For instance, would a shot of a cultivated garden flower count, or does it have to be a wildflower? (I realize there's crossover between the two.)
@tristansmum well, the 30 Days Wild challenge aimed simply to get people to spend a bit of time outdoors each day - nothing really wild - Just appreciating nature, noticing nature, taking a moment out of a busy day to smell a flower... - it could be the simplest of things so take part and don't worry about the definition of wild - it's essentially 365 days of nature I suppose.
I can't fit in something 'wild' every day, as in a 'proper' outdoors activity, but I am aiming to photograph something in nature each day by spending the time noticing things and appreciating it.
It's pretty flexible - the overall aim is just to encourage people to get out and experience and appreciate the natural world.
@roachling Thanks so much Louise: I find I'm not sure whether the 365 Days Wild begins immediately, or at the beginning of 2016. Thanks for your patience with my questions. I take a lot of nature shots and would love to tag them for this. I don't do Twitter or Facebook or in fact any social media except the 365, if it can be called social media; so any shots I take and tag will just be on here.
@tristansmum That's fine - there is no obligation to post things anywhere at all - it's the taking part that counts - and you don't have to do it everyday, people can just tag when they can. The 365 days is intended to carry on from 30 Days Wild which was throughout June, so for me, this photo is my day 31 of 365 but it's really up to you - you can start now if you wish or save it until 2016.
I don't really like starting year long projects in the middle of a year (I'm funny like that!) so it irritates me a bit that this will span two years, so my theory is that (hopefully) I'll get the hang of this so it becomes just how I do 365 and then once I reach day 365, I'll just carry it on to the end of 2016 so I'll have done a whole year on top of part of 2015 - but that's just my neurotic tendencies.
As I said, all this wild stuff is just an attempt to reconnect people with the natural world so the there aren't really any rules - just get out, enjoy nature and post a photo if you can :)
Like me, most of your photos feature plants and details from nature so I don't think it'll be too much of a challenge for you!

This link - http://www.wildlifetrusts.org/staywild - explains it all and you will see a link to 101 random acts of wildness (some inspiration for days when there's a little more time but also some really simple ideas too) and this is a nice blog with 5 themes for going wild in nature - http://findingnature.org.uk/2015/06/10/five-themes-for-going-wild-in-nature/
