365 Days Wild - Day 152 (100 Days Happy - Day 39)

An afternoon of Wildplay with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. Today's nature based fun included making apple spiders, pizzas for birds and magic potions, as well as a trail to follow, animal picture colouring and bug hunting.

It was very windy today but after a rainy morning, the sun came out for our afternoon in the park and it only started to rain again as we finished loading the van after the event - perfect!

@pennystot There are couple of bird pizza photos in the link above, but it was very basic - our was just clay flattened into a 'pizza base' with bird seed pressed into it! You could make your own with an edible base for the birds and add oats, mealworms and so on. Here's an old blog post about making your own bird food, just in case you're interested -
