It's been a busy few days and I'm shattered - very ready for the Christmas holidays! I've not been on the computer a lot and haven't had a lot of time to comment here, but I will (hopefully!) get back into it over the next few days now I have some time off!

@pandorasecho I was standing right next to them, it's not from a low down POV or anything. The blog link shows some different angles / photos and the 4th picture down shows them from across the water with a man taking a photo near them, that will give you the scale.
