Wildlings

I've just realised that I never uploaded my photo for this day. it's only a week late!

I spent the morning where I grew up, working with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust to launch their new 'Wildlings' sessions on The Roaches.

It was a good turnout for a first event with roughly 20 children attending. There was a mud kitchen, bug hunting, mini shelter building, stories, bird feeder making, a juice and biscuit break, hammocks to relax in and, of course, free play in the woods and clambering on boulders. This was my childhood playground and it's definitely a great place some for wild play!

In the picture is the mud kitchen we set up. There are a few more photos in this blog post from the day.

@brennieb Yes look out for it - last I heard, the plan was that it would be every Monday from 4th September. I think it was going to be about 6 weeks at The Roaches and another 6 at Gradbach too... SWT have a facebook page where activities ad events like this are listed so if she's on there she could follow it.
