Den building

I worked today, assisting with a couple of forest school sessions for Staffordshire wildlife trust (to help a colleague with a minor injury).

We did a session with 11-14 year olds in the worst of the stormy weather this morning. They are trying to create a forest school area on school grounds so this morning we cut back overgrown brambles to create a path, build a bridge over a ditch using foraged branches and made a rope swing.

The afternoon was spent den building with 5-7 year olds and this was the den built by one of the small groups (and also the only photo I took today!).

Goodness - you are a hardy soul! I trust it wasn't quite as wet in Staffs as in N Wales. Sounds like a morning's good work.

@dailydelight The morning was a bit miserable, but we wore wellies and waterproofs and went out anyway. It improved in the afternoon for the younger ones luckily.
