A Staffordshire Widlife Trust sessional* team gathering in the woods. It was raining pretty heavily, a plan B of going to the pub was mentioned but we all said 'no, the rain's not that bad' as we're pretty used to being out in it and have done many a campfire in the rain between us!
We had mulled wine, mince pies and other nibbles and a couple of hours chatting, all standing around in the pouring rain. There was a tawny owl calling nearby too.
( *Sessional is my job title for the casual work I do for both Derbyshire and Staffordshire Wildlife Trusts - I guess just meaning that we work by the session rather than on contracts).
