Another day spent digging around the tree stump and roots. We've had a blackbird getting braver and braver each day as we've worked, coming in to reap the rewards of the freshly excavated soil. I can't manage a spade at the moment but made really good progress exposing more and more stump and roots using just a trowel, haha!! Dave came and shifted soil out of the hole for me!
Photo is of a froghopper I accidentally removed from his cuckoo spit bubble. I relocated him safely on some greenery and it will have blown itself another bubble home.
