It's been raining hard here, so I didn't get out in the kayak.
The two robin chicks (still one egg) were asleep and showing neither mouth nor eye.
Seemed like a good time to show you where this clever bird actually built her nest.
And so, this wonderful neighbor of mine who all but lives in his shop/garage, has pretty much suspended all activity in the garage, whether it involves the compressor or not. If he has to go in to get something shuffles his feet in the gravel or softly claps his hands before going in so he won't startle the adults. I couldn't ask for a better neighbor. Neither could the robins! ;-)

Sheri and Robin,
Thanks for stopping in. I have to wonder if the parents figured out that cats have a much harder time climbing up smooth steel air tanks than trees?!
You're so right ... a wonderful neighbor, indeed! Gotta love a man who won't use his compressor just to help out the robin "Mom!" Love the capture and can't wait to see more in the near future!

karen and Livia,
Thanks for your comments. I enjoy sharing the story of my neighbor as much as sharing the images. There sure are some great people in this old world; and so many of them find their way to "365"! ;-)
@lyno@lynnb
Lyn and Lynn, Yes, I've told him about the reaction. Think I'll type up some of the comments and give them to him along with some pictures.
Hadn't thought of that before, Lyn, but your comment, and Lynn's, just gave me the idea. Thanks!
We have been blessed with wonderful neighbors, that's for sure!

Tara and Larry,

Thanks. I'm planning to make a collage for the neighbor and include the kind comments that people have extended in his direction.
