Saw this on the creepy crawlies thread...totally amazing shot Robert! Look at all those eyes.....wow..was this taken in the wild?

@Cherrill Well, if you consider my front porch the wild then yes. I let the spiders do their thing around the light fixture. This big orb weaver set up shop in a corner and she builds small webs that don't impact entry and egress so I leave her be. I've seen the same species build webs 4-5 times the diameter of this one, she seems to be responding to the abundance of prey around the light. Fun to watch!

@robv Fun to watch indeed....what a 'wild' front porch you have! In a much lesser way, in the summer I am alwys fascinated by the flies and moths that come to our outside light. I think one year it would be interesting to make a moth trap.....I've seen the results in a reserve.....fascinating! Thanks for the info as ever Robert.
