Playing catch up while out of town, posting this shot of Tuesdays transit of the Sun by Venus a day early in my calendar. A coworker brought his telescope in to watch the event so I just held my phone up to the eyepiece and tried a couple of shots. I'm pretty happy with what I got. Venus is the dot at lower left, the others are sunspots.
oh, how amazing is this ! There was cloud over England, obviously so couldn't see it over here - this is fabulous - and amazing you could get this from your phone's camera - incredible
Kids were still pretty excited about it.
