"Prison" week, still. ;) If I don't put these images in my project now, it will get away from me or just be fillers, so here you go.
Another shot from my recent tour of the Missouri State Penitentiary, the subject of my shots this week. Pretty soon, though, it will be time for something more uplifting. :)
Thanks for your generous comments on my shot of yesterday... so pleased to see it on the PP, as it was a "not your usual" way shoot this space. I appreciate every visit.

Love this, love the shadows and dark feel of this, I am so far behind on looking and commenting I am excited to see what else is in your "prison week".
@cejaanderson So glad you are enjoying this series. I really enjoyed photographing this space. I am not likely to see another like it any time soon, so I am indulging myself. ;) Thanks for your many kind comments.
This is one of the saddest ones yet...imagining being in a cell, with only that much light filtering in, day after day, year after year. This series is gruesomely fascinating and I'm loving the architecture...but what a window into that world of prisons.
What a great series of images you got from your prison visit! This one makes us see what a dark place (in more ways than one) the prison was with just a little light filtering through the bars.
Amazing how much different this version is from the cropped version on Flickr. I must be honest, though, I prefer the cropped version having less distractions in the dark. This version could be more effective, I suppose, if you further darken the back portions and use it as negative space without any detail in it.
@ericdibosco It was straighter, which I have a slight obsession about. ;) I agree about the distractions, though. As always, I really appreciate your thoughtful comments.
