The Mighty Mississippi has overspilled its banks again. St. Louis is having ridiculous amounts of flooding right now, mostly from the more local rivers further north. This is the historic Eads Bridge, built in 1874, reaching across the river from Missouri to Illinois.
You can see all the street signs and light posts, almost fully submerged. Usually, the water banks end before all of those large stone arches to the right side of the frame.
Quite the sight. I took this shot from the upper levels of a halfway flooded parking garage. :)

That is one fantastic shot Rosie, strong lines and perspective and lots of detail in the flooded foreground. I like this shot a lot, it appeals to me bigtime.
I was taken by the magnificent bridge at first and it was only on reading your story that I realised I was looking at a flood scene. Quite the sight alright. Great shot.
Seen lots of flooding in the news. Must be scary. We are close to flood stage but unlikely it will be terribly serious because all the snow has melted which causes the biggest floods. Stay safe and post a few more.
