So, here are the results from using 3 different shutter speeds, ISO on auto, indoor lighting (sorry) and no editing other than to crop and put in a collage. 25 mm lens (would be a 50 mm on a full frame).
Honestly, I can't see much difference between them. Handheld, all shots. I was interested to see that, even on auto, my camera chose to keep the ISO at 200. I wonder if I did this technique challenge correctly?

Hey Rosie, maybe try photographing something in a somewhat difficult light or something that is moving. I expect that would show some bigger differences in the three photos. It is interest that the auto kept ISO at 200. Looks like the compensation was made in the aperture. Either way interesting subject! I like the slight reflection.
Lovely capture :-) If you are practicing with shutter speed, try birds whether in flight or just eating. No matter what they are doing there is always movement. Great for shutter speed practice :-)
You did it correctly and the results are exactly as you'd expect. If you had image stabilisation on you might not see any difference so try with it off or just try slower shutter speeds. This one is more about pushing you rather than the camera :)
I like your experiment. I tried something similar at a jump rope contest so I could really see the difference in the blur. I should do more of this. You're inspiring me.
Love the image...I need to be more adventurous !! Good on you for trying...and I can't really see a great deal of difference. I do a lot of shots on auto..since I take so many impromptu shots...and always want to be ready. But I need to experiment more!!
I want to try this as well. It sounds like a good learning opportunity. I've enjoyed looking at everyone's series of shots. To me, the first image seems the softest, and the last the clearest. The entire collage gives me such a serene feeling.
