I saw this one flower as I was going to the greenhouse to do the watering this morning and I thought it might make a nice pic. It is simple and when I looked at it a bit closer, I realised that there is a hover fly on it. I can see how I have improved my pics since joining 365 in October last year because I would not have known how to get good DOF before but it is something I can now do with ease. It certainly helps quite an ordinary white flower looks a bit more special. Other than using camera settings, I have done nothing other than upload this pic and put my name to it. I try where possible to get a good pic without editing which is why some of my pics don't always match the standards of others because I don't really edit them. Perhaps I should get into editing but as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I liked this one
@busylady I used aperture priority setting at 3.0 to start off on a macro setting but after I had zoomed in the aperture was 5.9 (see Exif Info above) and the ISO was 400 as it was quite dark as the plant was behind a conifer tree and also under the shade of other trees. I stand back a bit and zoom in otherwise the flower would not have been in focus. Hope that helps
