We had a terrible shock this morning when a mutual friend rang to tell us the news that he had found our dear friend Margaret dead in the garden. She was 76 and we always visit her on Sundays. It looks as though she went to feed her fish but had a heart attack or stroke in the garden and fell across the pond. If Jonna hadn't have found her, it would have been us. Her husband used to be Steve's boss when he worked for a local garage before he became self employed. He died 7 years ago and so we always called to see Margaret to cheer her up and do any little jobs she needed doing. She felt lonely after he died so we did what we could to give her a bit of company and help her out. She was a lovely lady so it is very sad
So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. A lovely tribute to her. We're bothon the same wavelength today,I posted a rose in memory of my Mum's passing two years ago.
This rose is such a lovely memory to dedicate to your dear friend. What a shock for you all, and I hope she didn't suffer too much. At least she was doing something she loved.
