Siskin

I had to fill the nyger seed up again this morning because our regular visitors the siskins are eating to their hearts content and eating me out of house and home! This one was taken at home but a pic I took yesterday is in my other album

Mine niger seed doesn't go down very fast at all, but the blue-tits are back.

@busylady The nyger lasts quite a while but since the siskins have been coming, it's going down much faster. Glad your blue tits are back

Oh we've never had one of those in the garden - my niger seed is ignored by all and sundry but I think I may switch to the sort of feeder you're using here as it's in one of those with small holes.

@carolmw Thanks Carol - this was taken through the kitchen window so I don't think she could see me but I they seem to keep looking up every time they take some seed to check that they are safe.

@judithg The siskins have only been coming over the past 3 or 4 weeks and it's usually the goldfinches who previously ate the nyger but the siskins seem to have taken over from them
