I've heard wrens about in the garden nearly every day but haven't managed to see them. Today as I came home from work, I saw this little fellow hopping about in the tree. It is getting much harder taking pics of birds now that the trees are budding out all over. Wrens are not particularly colourful but I think they are dear little birds and I love the way their tales stick up. I haven't seen the Quackers today but Steve came back from the garage where he takes his cars for MOTs and they said that a male mallard had been squashed flat by a lorry. I do hope it wasn't Donald so I am anxiously waiting for him to appear. I didn't see him yesterday though as only Daisy turned up and ran up the garden when I called her
@padlock I'm pleased to say that both Donald & Daisy turned up tonight for their evening meal. Donald came first and I was just so pleased to see him. I called him and up he came. Then he flew off after having some food only to land in another part of the garden as Daisy arrived. He must have known that she was coming yet I didn't hear her! Amazing
Well that's not fair! And you're right I'll never get one now the leaves are on - my favourite birds. Good news on the ducks. My mum ran over one once - completely unavoidable - just shot out - we are still traumatised at the thought.
