This lovely pheasant brought his harem to the hide at RSPB this afternoon - no fewer than 3 females. The males are so colourful yet the females are really quite plain - just a beige and brown colour with no pretty bright colours for them. He was a fine specimen and a beautiful bird. Why anyone would want to shoot them for fun I don't understand.
Lovely shot. They are such beautiful birds. Hard to understand how someone could breed them, let them go, and then shoot them. At least with foxes you can understand because of the damage they do.
