Riders in Wood Lane

I had to have a very quick walk along Wood Lane this morning as I had to do the Sainsbury's shop before I went to work at 12 o'clock and then have my walk so it's been a busy day. Tonight I have to go to a Neighbourhood Watch meeting in the village so I will be behind with commenting etc. again!

While walking along Wood Lane, 2 policemen came along in a safari looking vehicle. They drove to the turning in the lane where the substation is and then turned round so I stopped them when they were on their way back. I talked to them about the drug taking which is obviously going on there and they said that they think it is most likely to be crack cocaine that's being taken and we live in a nice sleepy village! I had already alerted the Safer Neighbourhood Team to this so they have been driving along the lane hoping to catch whoever the drug takers are. I'm glad they take it all seriously and they have also been keeping their eye on a van which has been left in the village as I phoned that in 2 days ago as it has been around when we've had a couple of burglaries in the village and 1 attempted burglary. Unfortunately, we have 7 traveller caravans who have broken into a field a couple of miles away and funnily it's since they have been in the vicinity that the burglaries have taken place. What a coincidence!

This pic would not win any prizes as I know what a judge would say that there is too much sky which needs editing to add some interest and I haven't photo shopped it. Jonathan (the chap from the camera club) told me yesterday that I will have to get into photo editing if I'm to get anywhere in the competitions! So now I've ordered a new copy of Elements as I have now discovered that my copy which I bought nearly a year ago and couldn't get on with is faulty! No wonder I couldn't get on with it! Oh well I shall have to give it a try when the new one arrives
Looks idyllic but it's obviously (almost) Midsummer!! We had a major prostitution problem in the nice housing estate across the road - using people's gardens and garages. The policewoman assigned to the issue said they didn't want to move them on because it was safe for the girls! Needless to say the residents pointed out the multiple errors of her argument.

It's a pretty shot and I like the curving lane. I was sent up to the hospital this morning and have been a course of stronger antibiotics. I have to go back on Saturday to see if it's improving.
