This was actually taken yesterday but the light has been so poor this afternoon and I didn't really see anything worth taking anyway. I was late leaving work because I was so engrossed, I didn't realise the time!
I have written to the CEO of Scottish Power, copying our local MP, David Cameron, Ofgem and both our local newspapers into the letter on behalf of one of my 81 year old clients. I have been trying to sort out her energy bills as they wrote to her in September offering her a fixed deal which we contacted them about to opt in by the due date. In October, they wrote back to her to say that they had changed her to their standard rate and that prices were going up! I tried to contact them several times but on 29 November, I hung on to speak to them for 1 hr 8 mins and I know it was that long because my work phone counts the minutes in front of you! The Customer Adviser was very unhelpful and said that the deal was no longer available and despite me saying that she responded within the time limit, he said that he would pass my complaint to their dept and someone would contact me either by phone or email but nobody has. It is disgusting the way they treat their customers and she is a very unwell lady in receipt of pension credit so doesn't have a lot of money. She is worried to death about her bills bless her. I will keep you updated when/if I get a reply to my letters.
