I started the day badly by going to Jordan's Mill for a meeting with the Business Manager and we had agreed to meet at 10.30. However, as he hadn't shown up by 10.50, I decided to leave and told the staff that I would email him to arrange another time and date which I did when I got back to the office. To be honest, I felt rather annoyed because I haven't heard anything from him either to apologise so it doesn't feel very good. I have things to do at work and don't have time to sit around waiting for someone to turn up very very late!
Anyway, this afternoon has been much better because I spotted this kestrel. He was initially sitting in a tree some way away but he flew off in the direction I had come from when I got nearer to the huge tree. I was however very pleased because I retraced my steps and found him sitting in the open on this branch. He must have known I wanted to photograph him and decided to make it easier for me (LOL). Anyway, he sat there and gradually I got closer to him and when I took this I was probably only about 20ft away. This was the last one I took before he flew away. I actually wanted him to fly away as I wanted to get some BIF pics but he was far too fast for me to get any good ones! I shall have to try again another day. Hopefully, this is one of his haunting grounds so I shall see him again.
It's Camera Club tonight and I've entered a couple of projected digital images so I shall have to see how I go with that.
