Two in the bush

This is the male and female linnet that I see down Wood Lane. I was so lucky to find them posing like this for me. Why is it the male always looks the prettiest though?!! By the way this is not photoshopped or edited other than putting a frame on in picmonkey.

I actually took this a couple of weeks ago but hadn't got round to posting it. As always, I really do appreciate you following my project, commenting and all the Favs I get.

I am posting early tonight as I have a Neighbourhood Watch meeting and I had better take my cheque book with me because I've pledged some money for the CCTV cameras that we are having installed in the village. That will put a stop to any drug taking in Wood Lane!

Great shot! Love the two birds. To answer your question about the male birds, they are prettier so that they attract predators so the female can tend to the young or sit on eggs and whatnot.
