I don't know what a collection of pheasants are called but I know they are not a gaggle of geese! I saw 5 of them altogether in a field along Wood Lane because I have been to work today and thought I would venture out for a walk when I got home. I haven't been for a walk for 4 or 5 days so it was nice to get out. I saw the cock pheasant out for a walk along the road but when I came back down the lane, I saw 5 females which is quite an unusual sight for me as they are very shy and hide away.
Thank you for all the kind comments and Favs and your lovely comments on yesterday's fantail.
Lovely shot Rosie, is this the white one you saw the other day ?
Oh and a group of pheasants, have several collective nouns, probably the nicest and the one that suits this shot is a Bouquet.
I agree about a bouquet, but you can use head, nest or a nide. A lovely capture and a FAV from Lady Magpie. I once knew a Pleasant, Pheasant Plucker, say that fast but don't let anyone listen to you.
