Hurrah I've finished work until 5 January! Only the select staff were working this morning!!! I think that there were only 8 of us in the office. It was a bit flat really because we had no communication from our new Chief Exec and my Team Leader didn't bother to send anything out wishing her team a happy Christmas or to the numerous volunteers who have worked all year to help people in their community as part of the Good Neighbour groups. However, I sent an email out to the groups that I have set up as I think it is important to thank them for all the hard work that they do which is unpaid and is down to their generosity. I collected one of my clients prescriptions for her as the Pharmacy told her that they tried to deliver it yesterday. However, when I went in the Pharmacist said that he had dispensed it half an hour before so I wish people would tell the truth. She had missed a couple of doses of one of her medicines because they had not delivered it despite requesting it a week last Friday! We finished the Attendance Allowance Form which I've now posted off so I'm pretty sure that she will have help in the new year. She was such a lovely lady and really appreciated what I have done for her. That's why I do the job and I'm sure I shall find more lovely people to help in 2015.
