This is a young mallard drake who is looking very tatty. There were a few ducks who just looked really scruffy as I stopped by the River Great Ouse in Bedford on my way to the Opticians. It has been very hot and humid today so a walk along the river was very pleasant as there are shady spots.
I can't believe my internet connection and I really must try to find time to change provider as the service from BT is absolutely rubbish and speaking to people in India is very difficult as I can't understand what they are saying half the time.
