Today we have been entertaining our local councillor as we are so fed up with our next door neighbour's trees! He agrees with us that it is unacceptable to have trees that tower above our house with conifers planted between so we have a wall of trees and no sunlight in the garden. I made him a cup of coffee and as we stood outside looking at the trees, when he had finished his coffee he put the empty mug on the bird's make-shift bird table - the sundial. I couldn't resist a shot when our lovely female blackbird came for her late breakfast.
