I decided to go up to RSPB HQ in Sandy this morning and I wasn't disappointed when I saw this hobby. They are very difficult to capture in flight as they dart about so quickly and this was the first shot I took so I was really pleased. They have got young ones and so I took some pics of them feeding one of the youngsters but they weren't terribly good as my exposure was all wrong. I have learnt that you need to overexpose when photographing against the sky.
I will post a shot of a hobby perched in a tree as I seemed to be following them around and they do make a very distinctive noise when in flight.
Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated. Special thanks for getting my insect pic on PP yesterday
