Sorry it's another robin shot but I think this is the same robin as yesterday but this time he landed in the conifer tree outside the front door. He has a grub in his beak so I suspect that he has little ones to feed who may be in a nest in the ivy on the front of the house. He waited for me to move as I was sitting in a chair in front of the ivy.
We had a bit of trouble today as Steve thought I would have a front door key on me but because I couldn't manage a handbag with crutches, I just had some money in my pocket together with my phone. He had left the key in the back door so our emergency key would not work. Fortunately, one of his very nice customers came round and he went to get his ladders and his son climbed into my bedroom window which was left open! I had taken the back door key out of my jeans pocket when I went to hospital so I must put it back in but it wouldn't have worked because he had left the key in the door. Silly man!
Thanks for your kind comments and Favs - it is very much appreciated and also for getting yesterday's robin on PP
It would be interesting to know whether he is feeding youngsters. I'm glad that you were able to get into your house. Hopefully you didn't have to wait too long.
I'm glad you got back inside eventually!
