Unlike the blackbirds, this little robin thought he would have a proper bath in the correct place - i.e. the birdbath!
I have been to see the surgeon today who took my stitches out and I must say the foot is looking good. However, he says I've still got to use my crutches for another 4 weeks and when I see him again on 21 July, I will have an xray to check healing before I am let loose walking without crutches and driving again. I shall be marking the days off on the calendar! I do miss my walks along Wood Lane and elsewhere but I have to be patient. I didn't tell him that I had been walking round the garden a bit without the crutches so I had better behave myself!

What a wonderful action shot. Glad you are recovering - it is a long wait but hopefully we will be shot of all this rain by the time you can walk up and down Wood lane again.
