I can't believe it's the end of June already! Where does the time go? I actually took this one last night but I liked the light on Woodie so thought I would post it anyway. It's so hot again today that I decided against going for a walk along Wood Lane as there is no shelter once you have travelled several yards along there.
I have been to an Art Exhibition in Roxton which has been set up to raise money for essential repairs. The Heritage Lottery Fund have granted money to rethatch the roof but it also needs new upright posts as they are worn and also the lead in the stained glass windows needs attention. It's not surprising as the chapel is almost 500 years old and a beautiful building. It is the only one of its kind in the whole of the UK. I have decided to get a couple of photos I have taken of it printed and mounted to sell and donate the profit to the fund. It is something my parents would be delighted to see. It was lovely seeing people that I haven't seen for years and it was beautifully cool inside the chapel. Teas were served out in the garden and I had to resist a piece of lovely cake that looked so tempting. If you haven't seen the chapel click on this link to view what a beautiful building it is. Sorry the link doesn't seem to work but if you look at the photograph for 18 August 2016, you will see that it is very worth saving.
Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs and for getting yesterday's young green woodpecker on PP. It is always much appreciated.
