This blackbird was sitting on a fence post as I came along the path towards home and he just sat and sang his fabulous song. The robins have been singing for a while but I haven't heard many blackbirds singing until now. I think they are just beginning to think it might be spring and are looking to pair up with a mate!
Great characters blackbirds. Nicely caught. My favourite part of the day is the evening when they sing their hearts out. Not so keen when they do it at four am as the days grow longer :-)
