This one was taken yesterday and it's a cottage just down the road from where we live. The skies were lovely and blue with puffy clouds whereas today it has been rather cloudy and not very good for taking pics such as this. The garden of this house is beautiful and the new owners have planted lovely cottage garden flowers. It's a shame you can't really see them from this pic and I did take another shot more close up of the flowers but of course then you can't see the whole of the cottage so I decided to post this one. I have a particular love of thatched cottages because I grew up in one
I used the polarising filter on the lens when I took this and like how the sky hasn't been blown out. I don't really know much about filters and so have asked that the camera club put on a workshop about them so that I can learn more.
It looks like it should be adorning the lid of a chocolate box or the pages of book of fairy tales. It must take a lot of time and effort to keep it looking so spick and span.
