I walked around the Finger Lakes at Priory yesterday and because it's off the beaten track a bit, not many people go near them. It was quiet and so peaceful and the sun shone. It really was like heaven on earth! Anyway, as I was admiring the view of the water of one of them, I suddenly realised that this heron was standing there. He stood and preened himself and seemed blissfully unaware of my presence.
