Why did the ducks cross the road by rosiekind

Why did the ducks cross the road

Steve had told me that he had seen Daisy Quacker with a big black duck and when I was walking back from Wood Lane, I saw these ducks right in front of me. I was pleased to find out that this was not Daisy so she hasn't been unfaithful to Donald with this big black duck after all. Anyway, the pair of them decided to cross Wood Lane and get into the ditch. They didn't stay there for long though before they flew off. I must say the big black duck was huge and not very good looking in my opinion! The female duck though was much paler than Daisy and did not have her lovely markings. I will tell Donald the good news that she hasn't been off with black duck! They have both been in the garden this morning but came separately and didn't stay for long. I wonder whether they have some eggs somewhere
Haha! Sounds like Eastenders! Fab collage.

Are your ducks looking like producing little ones yet? we have a brook nearby and I noticed a proud mummy duck with some little balls of fluff beneath her this morning.

Lovely collage. I don't know much about ducks. Are these domestic ducks or crosses of some kind?

@busylady No it's all a bit hit and miss at the moment. I'm not sure whether Donald & Daisy are still in love as they seem to come to see me separately at the moment although they did both come one day this week. It's all a bit worrying!

@dandolo I think they are wild ducks and they are not as tame as the ones who visit my garden. Donald & Daisy come when I call them but these two flew away as soon as I started to get near them which makes me think that they are wild ones
