Not a wonderful shot but this is more of a diary shot as I've never managed to get a pic of an owl before. He flew up from the field into this tree and when I crept along to try to get a pic from the other side, of course he flew away! I was really pleased to see him though and I think he might have been trying to find his supper. Owls seem to be appearing earlier in the day nowadays although I'm usually driving when I see them so never get any shots. This was taken along Wood Lane.
I am really pleased that I sent my pics to the Safer Neighbourhood team as they are particularly interested in the Audi car that I sent them and apparently the chap on the bike is local and has been involved with burglaries. They haven't been able to get any info on the van driver but they were pleased with the info I gave them and will continue to watch the area which is reassuring.
You were luckier than I was in getting even a partially blocked picture of the owl. We saw a gorgeous red-tailed hawk on an electrical wire today when running errands, but, of course, I was the one doing the driving. On the way back he was still there, but as I pulled over to the side of the road to get his picture, he gave us a "look" and took off and flew behind our car, so I wasn't able to get the camera around in time to grab a shot of him. Very frustrating!
