I love street photography and usually there are some characters around in Cambridge but alas today I didn't see any. Perhaps it was because the wind was quite cold as there were no buskers either or maybe they had such a lucrative time before Christmas that they are enjoying the freedom that a few pennies can give.

I am reading the "Grapes of Wrath" at the moment and I am really hooked on it - willing the main characters the Joads to get some work that will pay them enough money to feed themselves properly. It really is an amazing literary work and I have never read any of John Steinbeck's books before but I shall certainly try some more. It is very compelling.

I too read Grapes of Wrath & loved it surprisingly thinking it would be a bit heavy but I found it easy to read. Never read any of his others but should try them. Will see how you go on! Happy New Year Rosie!
