Queen Victoria

This statue of Queen Victoria is by the sculpture Sir Alfred Gilbert, and it was commissioned to mark her Golden Jubilee in 1887. It sits in Winchester's Great Hall, although it was transported to the Royal Academy in London in 2011 for an exhibition of works in bronze. Quite a feat, considering it weighs more than two tonnes and is taller than 4 metres!
