Somewhat sad and mystical at the same time I guess. This tree stump was part of a hedge, so it wasn't cut down for any other reason than it probably split in a storm. The jagged splinters form what could be a mysterious elven castle to me ontop of a smooth, wooden paved plateau.
Do you think this counts as a woodcreature find? I'm not sure it does.
Just a great description of a castle high on a rocky outcrop...Monmouth Castle perhaps ? Is Elven Castle out of The Lord of the Rings ? Will look it up now & know I am wrong !!!!!
@netkonnexion I suppose you could describe woodcreatures as being personalities within trees. For instance, like the doleful face within your shot of the heavily cropped tree. For some reason it was there and it seemed apt to be so. Some personalities are more obvious than others, but once seen are difficult to un-see as it were. Other tree creatures can look like animals or wherever your imagination leads. I hope that explains the collection. :)
@sabresun I checked out Elven Castle & it is some sort of castle out of a type of fairy story similar to The Lord of the Rings type ! Maltesers are soo good & you never think you are eating much chocolate, that's what I tell myself anyway !! LOL
@digitalrn Well, Rick, you have one in the woodcreature collection so you have the eye for these too. It may be an occasional eye, but an eye nonetheless.
oh my gosh MATT i actually said to myself "that looks like a castle" before i read your title! i feel proud and happy about that! this is an excellent woodcreature find!
@pwallis Who says I didn't? That little speck you see on the plateau is in fact the tail end of a huge, elven wagon convoy approaching the castle. They came up by one of causeways that you can see on the right. Takes days apparently to make that trip up there.
Interesting picture by the way.
