Evil-ish bluebell wood

Atleast, I think they are bluebells. I've passed by this wood a few times in the car and each time caught a fleeting glimpse of blue, but been unable to stop as it's a dangerous spot in road (at the top of a hill with a blind-spot bend) Today, I made the effort, walked from a safer parking spot, carefully began to climb over the fence, caught my leg on the fence somehow, stumbled on the other side (as you do) and got bit hard by something feisty. I presume some devious insect laying in wait for blood. It got lucky. After I'd cursed said insect or whatever it was and examined my leg for early signs of paralysis, I had a look around. There's danger within these innocent looking woods, I tell you. (sooc)

Nb - according to a reliable source, it is believed I was bitten by a carniverous bluebell.
Beautiful light & shade ...you wouldn't think anything nasty would be lurking there Matt, you can't be too careful even in the prettiest places!!!

@dulciknit That's a novel theory. It's like day of the triffids, but in miniature and tinged blue. :)

You might also have been bitten by a late-flowering, Demon Daffodil.

@dulciknit It's a very perilous time of year.

Probably because November has usurped May.

@dulciknit Now then, now then. I see you're in a biting mood. :)

Good to hear you made it out alive with a photo for your efforts (and loss of blood). :)

I'm thinking how could this gorgeous sunlit magical dell be evil? Now that I know of the dangers of carniverous bluebells, I know better.
Beautiful capture Matt :)
