Mitchells Pass with Snow by salza

Mitchells Pass with Snow

The road from Tulbagh to the neighbouring town of Ceres crosses the Witzenberg Mountain. One drives through the gorge. The road was originally built by Andrew Bain in 1846.
There are 2 baboons digging for insects at the second red chevron sign.
Another view of the pass taken during summer: http://365project.org/salza/365/2012-03-27

I could not decide between these two so I have posted both - alternate shot for today: http://365project.org/salza/extras/2012-08-17

@aspada Was slightly worried that they would be distracting, I had left them as there's 2 baboons digging for insects at the second one but forgot to put that in the info!

Such a beautiful view! And a bonus I suppose to have the baboons in there- although I learned they are a nuisance sometimes.
