Nice candid shot.

Indeed, and it is clearly visible in his face. I like the sepia tone, makes it feel a bit nostalgic. Good candid!

It comes across in this picture- you've really captured the details of his face so well.

What a great portaint and pov. You must have been out on the boat with him. Catch any fish?

Yes it is he looks like a worker

@eyesmile Gena it only looks as though he is out at sea but in fact he is sitting on the harbour wall. Whilst we were at the harbour we saw 3 small fishing boats return and no one had any fish! Guess it was a bad morning out!

he looks tired with life

This is a lovely candid, Sally, I really like his expression and pose...a lot! I would love to see this in a strong contrast B&W conversion - this one has a slight sepia look..

@ericdibosco Eric I did give it a bit of a sepia tint. I will see if I get a chance to play around with it more. This was just a quick process in Picasa. I haven't really had any inspiration to pick up the camera nor to spend much time processing. Hopefully I can make some time to spend in front of the computer.

@ericdibosco the sepia btw seemed to bring out his features more (in Picasa anyway!). Lightroom may well bring a whole different result.

What a great expression! Perfect image background too!

Super candid. It sure is a hard life and you can see it from the weathered face. I like the sepia tone - it adds to the feeling of timelessness.
