For my get pushed challenge from Margo @s4sayer - I'd like you to take a shot of 'What constitutes a perfect day' and to include at least one human and no animals.
This is quite a challenge for me as my 'perfect day' is to be out and about in nature and not see another human! I work predominantly with animals, so my life really does revolve around them. I decided that I would use my art class for the challenge as it is the next best thing to being out and about with nature.
I'm from Tulbagh, Western Cape, South Africa. Tulbagh is a small farming community.
Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
Oh I definitely LOVE this room and seeing an artist at work! This would most decidedly be a perfect day for me! Well, once-a-week at least! Glad you were pushed to share this!
I find this a captivating shot that really draws you in. The woman absorbed in her work is the first thing you see but my eye was drawn to the rest of the photo immediately afterwards.
Well done and A FAV!
@s4sayer not sure if you ever received the notification for my response to your challenge. It was a struggle for me as I so seldom take pictures of people and my ideal day is spent with animals and not having to deal with people!
I did receive your notification...and thought I'd commented...although clearly not! I remember typing it. Sorry about whatever I did or didn't do for you not to receive it.
I think this was an admirable response as I had realised from reading your 'spec' that there were some No Go areas. Yet I felt that as you had posted almost 3000 shots, you certainly don't lack versatility. If GP is intended to take us out of our respective comfort zones, prompt us to be open to taking a safe risk, there is much to gain and less to lose.
I hope this photo...and the splendid plaudits it deservedly rendered...might encourage you do venture into hitherto unchartered waters...with brio. I hope so. ;-)
@s4sayer thank you Margo. When I first received your challenge my initial response was to ask for something different. As you say get pushed challenge may well take us right out of our comfort zone so I decided that I just had to bite the bullet and produce something. I do however find candid street photos very difficult and I am not sure I will ever feel comfortable doing them in the village where I live.
Well done and A FAV!

I respect that and I'll bear it in mind for the future.
