Walking in the NZ bush the whoosh stops you in your tracks. The whoosh of the Kereru, NZ Wood Pigeon is memorable. This one visited me in my own garden this afternoon. I heard the whoosh and tracked it get its bearings as it flew around for a couple of hours. So happy it came in to rest a moment here.
