IT'S FESTA TIME (4)

I am not a festa followers because I hate to find myself in crowds but this Project has made me do things which I do not usually do. So yesterday I went near the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to try to capture some pic to describe the atmosphere. This pic shows banners hanging from wooden poles in front of an illuminated church facade - the procession with the statue had already left the area and was proceeding down to the 'Ferries'. There are people still gathered around the church, some having a drink bought from the band club in front the church, some listening/watching a band which was playing popular music at the corner with a side street beside the church and others going in and out of the church to see the adorned inside.
nice banners nice photo

I am learning so much about your country. The one thing that I have noticed is how ornate and vibrant the colors are there. It is so different than around here. I find it just so beautiful! Thank you for sharing this with me.

Greetings - just looked at your festa pictures - they are wonderful. Love the colors - the lights, the flags. I understand your comment about not usually going out in crowds but 365 has challenged you - for me it has also made me more aware of what is around me - to capture it. enjoy

@chamal @kmrtn6 @mrssmith @eraser @friendie @jpgiorgio Thank you all for your lovely comments. Yes, Malta, being in the centre of the Mediterranean, has a Mediterranean temperament with lots of colours - perhaps its the effect of the great amount of sunshine we have throughout the year.
