PETERSKIRCHE PULPIT, VIENNA by sangwann

PETERSKIRCHE PULPIT, VIENNA

23th July we transferred to Vienna where, after checking in at the hotel, we had a brief tour of the main sites.

This pulpit is in St Peter’s Church, a Roman Catholic Church built in the Baroque style (my favourite). The church was constructed between 1701 and 1730 (approx.) and the design was inspired by St Peter’s Basalica of the Rome Vatican. It was consecrated to the Holy Trinity. The gilded ornate pulpit itself is a magnificent sculpture by Matthias Steinl (1726) with on top of the canopy a representation of the Holy Trinity.
very beautiful pulpit and very artistic photo
