MELK MONASTERY, AUSTRIA (4) – CHURCH

A monestary without a church or chapel is like a horse without a head. As in all the other areas of the monastery, this church is stunning and almost completely covered with gold leaf or gold items. What I have not managed to understand is the reason behind those large metal loops hanging from the ceiling.

It is absolutely stunning, and all that gold, wow, the light just makes everything glow. The hoops are interesting.

That is over the top - amazing. The hoops - the First Nations People, make hoops and by using yarn make a decorative web inside the hoop - and these are called Dream Catchers - will do a little checking to make sure that is right --
