GLORIETTE – SCHONBRUNN PALACE, VIENNA (3)

The original designs for the palace had included a belvedere for Schönbrunn Hill. The project was however realised after a remodelling of the plans for the park. The Early Classicistic colonnaded Gloriette was built to Hohenberg's designs in 1775.
The structure consists of a central section in the form of a triumphal arch, flanked by arcaded wings with lofty semi-circular arches.

Wow...spectacular architecture. Nice perspective to capture not only the dramatic arches, but the reflection and foot path too. WOnderful.
