CHADWICK LAKES (5) – Cascading water

During our walk we saw that in some areas of Chadwick Lakes especially in the upper part, water still overflowed over the dam to the next step of the ‘lakes’ even though it hadn’t really rained in the previous two days. After a heavy rainfall – and when it rains in Malta it rains bucketfulls – it is a great sight to see each basin overflowing into the next one. However, the walkway would not be very nice to navigate because of the amount of water, mud and debris which come down from the adjoining fields.

You are right Jennifer, we don't have many rainy days but this year has been an exception - the weather has been ugly for almost 2 months now with rain, wind and cold. But we had a few sunny spells; that day at Chadwick Lakes was too splendid.
