Ian was not being capricious when he wanted to cancel the day’s excursion on Etna. Like I said, Denise (his wife and my daughter) was having trouble with walking because of the chilblain on her toes. To make matters worse she had brought with her a new Adidas trekking shoes for the occasion and together with the chilblains they were killing her with pain. These are two candid shots I took of her the day before at Randazzo (a baroque town in the heart of Sicily) while taking off her shoes and socks and showing where the pain was. She did not want to spoil my Etna day (which I had insisted so much on going) and so didn’t side with Ian. She is my heaven on earth and I love her so much. Many thanks Denise.
Thank you all so very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday’s picture. More trekking pictures for the next days.
She is a wonderful daughter to be so uncomfortable and still make Dad's dream come true. I hope her feet are feeling better now- and that she doesn't mind a shot of her feet being viewed by people all around the world! (o:
